Andre’ Wilson Jr. was born and raised in the great city of Savannah, Georgia, where he discovered his love for football at the tender age of five. His passion and talent propelled him through an illustrious high school career at Calvary Day School, where he played a pivotal role in leading the team to its first-ever state championship appearance during his senior year in 2014.
Andre’s exceptional skills on the gridiron earned him a coveted scholarship to play football for Alabama State University from 2014 to 2018, where he also received his bachelor’s degree in business administration.
However, it was the journey beyond the field that ignited Andre’s true calling. Observing the alarming trends of mental health challenges and the lack of personal development resources, he was struck by the profound impact of stress and anxiety when he didn’t receive an opportunity to play professional football. Andre personally experienced the traumatic effects of mental health issues from not navigating failure properly as a tool for building success.
It was this realization that sparked the creation of Touchdown Academy, a groundbreaking initiative designed to motivate, empower, and inspire individuals through trials, failures, and shortcomings, ultimately shaping them into winners in the game of life.
Today, Andre serves in the United States Army as a Religious Affairs Specialist, inspiring those around him with his resilience and commitment to personal growth. Through Touchdown Academy, he has dedicated himself to providing a comprehensive support system that equips individuals with the tools and mindset necessary to overcome adversity and unlock their full potential.
